Is intended to provide food handlers with an understanding of the importance of food safety and hygiene standards at work.

On completion of training the learner will understand:

  • The application of food saftey and hygiene standards.
  • Food handlers responsibilities.
  • Effects of food borne ilnesses.
  • Implementing a HACCP based food safety management system.
  • How to prevent food contamination.
  • Safe food storage and temperature control.
  • How food is contaminated.
